DAY 1: HANOI ARRIVAL (L + D)
Collect at the airport with a English/French speaking guide and transfer to the hotel by private car. Free time to relax. Lunch at the restaurant. In the afternoon, visit Tran Quoc Pagoda, and you will be able to explore downtown Hanoi through the colonial area by cyclo in approximately 1 hour. Dinner at the restaurant in the city and overnight at the hotel in Hanoi.
DAY 2: HANOI – LAO CAI (B + L + D)
Breakfast at the hotel. More time for you to fully explore Hanoi and its cultural and historical treasures: visit the Ethnology Museum, travel back in time and learn about our historical values when visiting the Ngoc Son temple, the Temple of Literature and the Pillar of the One Pillar. Lunch at the restaurant in town. Return to the hotel before leaving to the station. Dinner at the restaurant in town, then transfer to the train station of Hanoi for night train Hanoi - Lao Cai with air-conditioned cabin for 4 people. Overnight on board.
DAY 3: LAOCAI – BAC HA – SAPA (B + L + D)
Arrive early morning in Lao Cai, the border city with China (Yunnan). Breakfast at Lao Cai and then depart for Bac Ha by private car on winding paths to visit the Bac Ha market where the local meets every Sundays. Many ethnic groups (Red Dao, Dao Bleus, Black Hmong, Hmong Fleuris) with their beautifully colored suits and loads of jewels come together to sell horses, pigs, rice spirits, fruits, etc. Being a culturally diversed population, they all have their own dialect. Sapa is the legendary city located at a height of 1.500m of altitude, we will stop by the village of the Hmong and Red Dzao Ta Phin, located on the hillside among the verdant meadows and then check in hotel. Dinner at the restaurant in town, overnight at hotel in Sapa.
DAY 4: SAPA – LAO CAI (B + L + D)
Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning, trek off the beaten track to the ethnic Day villages and Black Hmong in Lao Chai and Ta Van to discover their cultures and tradition but also the hospitality of their inhabitants. Enjoy the beautiful exotic landscapes along the valley of Muong Hoa, and visit Sapa market where you will get the real touch of the daily life of the local. Lunch at the restaurant in town in Sapa. Return to the hotel for a shower before departure. Then transfer directly to Lao Cai, stop on the way to the border between Lao Cai (Vietnam) and Ha Khau (China). Dinner in town in Lao Cai and transfer to the train station for night train Lao Cai - Hanoi with air-conditioned cabin for 4 people. Overnight on board.
DAY 5: HANOI (B + L + D)
Arrive early in Ha Noi at 6am. Transfer to hotel for breakfast. This is your free day to explore the old historic town of Hanoi on you own. (No activities planned, lunch and dinner are included in restaurant in town). Overnight at hotel in Hanoi.
DAY 6: HANOI – NINH BINH – HANOI (B + L + D)
Breakfast at the hotel. Depart for Ninh Binh 100km away from Hanoi. Visit the Temples of Dinh & Le Dynasties (968 – 1009). Continue to Hoa Lu, the ancient capital of Vietnam. Enjoy a sampan cruise through the caves of Tam Coc in the heart of dreamy landscapes where it is known as "Halong Bay on land". Lunch at the restaurant in town. Then discover three caves Tam Coc-Bich Dong and its Pagoda. Back to Ha Noi. In the evening, we introduce you to water puppetry, a form of art performance dated as fas as the 11th century. Dinner at the restaurant. Overnight at the hotel in Hanoi.
DAY 7: HANOI – HALONG (B + L + D)
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer by private mini bus for Halong Bay (One of 7 New Wonders of Nature). Arrival in Halong and boarding on cruise. Lunch and dinner on board. Cruise on the emerald sea passing through countless mist-shrouded limestone islands. The balance of the junk on waves will put you easily to sleep and take you into the dream! It cannot get any more idyllic than this! Overnight on board, anchored off in middle of the bay.
DAY 8: HALONG – HANOI (BRUNCH + D)
Brunch on board. Cruise in Halong Bay with its countless islands and islets arising on the emerald sea. Visit the caves and islets and possibility of swimming. Return to the boarding and transfer to Hanoi. Stopover at Dong Trieu to visit a ceramic factory. Dinner at the restaurant and overnight at the hotel in Hanoi.
DAY 9: HANOI – QUANG BINH – PARADISE CAVES (B + L + D)
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Noi Bai airport for flight to Dong Hoi. Collect at the Dong Hoi with a English/French speaking guide airport and transfer to the hotel by private car. Then depart to visit Thien Dong Cave, well known as The Royal Underground Palace, Thien Duong Cave (Paradise) is one of the most wonderful spooky landscapes in the world. Lunch at the local restaurant. Then back to Quang Binh. Dinner and overnight at hotel in Quang Binh.
DAY 10: QUANG BINH – HUE (B + L)
Breakfast at the hotel. Depart for Hue by private car. On the way, stop to visit latitude 170 north, along the Ben Hai line, border of Quang Tri province which once temporarily separated the country into two regions, North and South. Stop at Hien Luong Bridge to take souvenir pictures. Continuation to Hue. Arrival in Hue. Light lunch. Check in hotel. We then head to Thien Mu Pagoda (built in 1960 - the symbol of Hue City) by boat along the Perfume River. After that, visit Tomb of Minh Mang. After the visit, it is your time to discover Hue specialities by yourself for dinner. Don't forget to try out Bun Bo Hue (noodles with stock made from beef/pork bones with a distinctive spicy flavour). It is time for you to try another of Viet soup other than Phở! Overnight at the hotel in Hue.
DAY 11: HUE (B + L)
Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning, visit Dong Ba Market where it is well-known for its conical poem hats. Then, guided tour in the Imperial City Hue buit in 1804 on a site chosen in accordance with the principles of geomancy. Hue, the ancient capital of Vietnam renowned for its magnificient historical relics from Kings Nguyen Dynasty (1802 – 1945) and the Imperial City classified by UNESCO as World Heritage in 2003. Lunch at the restaurant. In the afternoon, visit the most famous craft villages and the most original of Hue. Phu Cam, the village of conical hats well-known for its traditional art of "Non Hue" (conical hats Hue), the symbol of feminine beauty of the region. Dinner on your own. Overnight at the hotel in Hue.
DAY 12: HUE – DANANG – HOI AN (B + L)
Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning, depart for Lang Co by private bus, a fishing village surrounded by coconut trees and white sands. Climbing to the famous Pass of Hai Van (previously known as the Pass of The Clouds) that separates geographically and climatically Northern Vietnam and Southern Vietnam. You will be stunned by the magnificent panoramic views from mountain tops. Short stop for taking pictures. Continue to Da Nang and lunch at the restaurant in Danang. In the afternoon, visit Cham Art Museum and Marble Mountains with the names of the top 5 elements (Metal, Wood, Water, Fire and Earth). Continue to Hoi An. Dinner on your own. Overnight at the hotel in Hoi An.
DAY 13: HOI AN (B + L)
Breakfast at the hotel. City tour Hoi An. Excursion by boat on Thu Bon River in 1 hour to experience the rural lifestyle of local people. Visit Hoi An ancient houses, its original form as its architecture are still in good state thanks to careful preservation. Lunch at the restaurant. In the afternoon, guided tour on foot through the small streets up to the Covered Bridge of Japanese style. Continue to visit Chinese Pagoda of Fujian style and Tan Ky House which made this city classified as World Heritage Site in 1999. Dinner on your own. Overnight at the hotel in Hoi An.
DAY 14: HOI AN (B)
Breakfast at the hotel. Free day for relaxation at the beautiful beach and more time for you to explore what this town has to offer (no services included except for hotel). Overnight at hotel in Hoi An.
DAY 15: HOI AN – DANANG - SAIGON (B + L)
Breakfast at the hotel. Free morning until transfer to Da Nang airport for flight to Danang. Collect at Tan Son Nhat airport and transfer to the hotel. Lunch at the restaurant. In the afternoon, city tour Saigon: visit Notre Dame Cathedral, stop by Central Post Office to see the French influence on this city and shopping at Ben Thanh Market. Overnight at the hotel in Saigon.
DAY 16: SAIGON – MY THO – BENTRE (B + L + D)
Breakfast at the hotel. Depart for My Tho, city of water located 70km from Saigon by private car. Cruise by boat on the Mekong to visit a pretty island bordered by multicolored flowers and tropical orchards. Refresh yourself with coconut juice and fruit of the season, tea with honey while listening to traditional songs and music of the South represented by Amateur Artists. Then enjoy a meal with many specialities of the South in local restaurant. Continue to Ben Tre - the hometown of coconut. If you're into coconut, this place definitely will not disappoint you! Check in hotel and have a rest. Visit the village of manufacturing coconut candy. Then, discover the craft brickyard of Mr. Tu Lo. We then head to the fruit market on Hung Vuong Street. Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Ben Tre.
DAY 17: BEN TRE – CAN THO (B + L + D)
Breakfast at the hotel. Free time in the morning for relax until depart for Can Tho. On the way to Sa Dec, we stop by the school where Mrs. Donadieu, the mother of Marguerite Duras had taught. Then visit the old house of MARGUERITE DURAS where it is not only famous for its original architecture but also for the well-known film "L'Amant" and the homonymous novel (translated into 40 languages). Then visit a Caodaiste temple, a rose garden and an artisanal candy factory. Lunch at the restaurant in town in Can Tho. Free time for rest. Dinner at the restaurant in town. Overnight at hotel in Can Tho.
DAY 18: CANTHO - CHAU DOC (B + L + D)
Breakfast at the hotel. Depart at 7h00 am from the Ninh Kieu pier for a morning boat trip to visit Cai Rang floating market, one of the most colorful floating markets in the region. Picturesque scenery of merchant boats heavily loaded with agricultural products and those of customers, reflecting an original business and typical of the water cities of the Mekong Delta. You can buy these fresh exotic fruits to try out! Return to the pier and continue to Chau Doc. Lunch at local restaurant, then depart to visit the village of Khmer silk and talk with the very friendly and charming weavers. Arrive at Tra Su, a sanctuary of wild birds, cruising gently with small boats to discover the paintings of splendid deep canals in the forest, watching storks, cranes and other tropical birds. Return to the hotel. Dinner and overnight at hotel in Chau Doc.
DAY 19: CHAU DOC – HA TIEN – PHU QUOC (B + L)
Breakfast at the hotel. Morning excursion "Two crossings of river" in sampan. Visit authentic floating houses, floating fruit market, picturesque scenery of merchant boats heavily loaded with agricultural produce. Return to the pier and departure by private minibus to Ha Tien. Lunch at the local restaurant. Cruise to Phu Quoc island by boat. Arrival at Phu Quoc. Collect at the pier with a English/French speaking guide and transfer to the hotel by private car. Free time for rest. Dinner on your own. Overnight at the resort in Phu Quoc.
DAY 20: PHU QUOC (B)
Breakfast at the hotel. Free day for relaxation at the calm and beautiful beach without any services included except for resort. Overnight at the resort in Phu Quoc.
DAY 21: PHU QUOC - SAIGON (B)
Breakfast at the hotel. Free day until transfer to the airport for flight to Saigon. Collect at the airport with a English/French speaking guide and transfer to the hotel by private car. Lunch and dinner on your own. Overnight at hotel.
DAY 22: SAIGON - DEPARTURE (B)
Breakfast at the hotel. Free day until transfer to the airport for your flight back home.
